The mission of the Windsor Police Pipe Band is to preserve, perpetuate, and perform Celtic music, culture and lore. We fulfill our mission by performing concerts, recording CD’s, and by competing at Highland Games.
Windsor Police performances combine a world class band with dancers as well as Celtic fiddle, guitar, piano and vocals.
As part of our mission to promote this music as a cultural art form, members make themselves available before and after each performance to give demonstrations as well as answer questions from audience members.
In order to develop and maintain a prominent level of piping and drumming in the region, our "seasoned" players are dedicated to coaching the players in our lower grade bands. In addition, some of our members teach students the art of playing bagpipes and drums, free if charge, at our piping and drumming school. This has been the secret to the WPPB's success over the decades.
